The World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) hosted an online event on the welfare of working equids on 12 September. Tools and knowledge resources were a central theme, and during this session a presentation was made by Dr Evangelia Sossidou on the ‘EURCAW Ruminants & Equines activities to promote the welfare of working equids in EU Countries’. Included in her presentation Dr Sossidou gave examples of our Scientific Reviews on

• Physical and occupational enrichment in ruminants and equines
• Sensory and feeding enrichment in ruminants and equine

As part of the current work programme of EURCAW Ruminants & Equines, Dr Sossidou is leading a working group on working equids.
