From 13-14 May, EURCAW Aqua (with headquarters at the University of Crete) hosted the annual meeting of the 4 EURCAWs in Heraklion, Crete.

Highlights from the first day included a World Café with 5 tables to discuss topics such as how to improve the format of factsheets, quality assurance during the peer-review process, training initiatives and the community of practice.  The small group discussion continued on Day 1 focussing on common activities across the EURCAWs such as roadshows and the development of a EURCAW App. Day 2 enabled sub-groups to meet to discuss core activities such as communications, and training and also provided the opportunity for the Project Officers to meet for the first time.

Despite an earthquake in the early hours of Day 2, the meeting was a great success – facilitating fruitful discussions across the 4 EURCAWs.
