The European Institute for Animal Law and Policy has published “Recent developments in EU Animal Law and Policy: 2019-2024 in review.” This document highlights the changes to legislation in the EU via regulations, case law and trade agreements, as well as in specific Member States over the 5 year period. This review focuses on farmed animals, fur animals, companion animals, wild animals and animals used for scientific purposes. There were many advancements in the past 5 years to improve animal welfare, with the document highlighting over 40 EU and country-specific new legislations and case laws relevant to farmed animals.
